In this series I explore different elements of relationships in the digital age. The series looks into the growth of such relationships, whether or not they are sustainable, and the impact they have on real life in-person relationships. Online relationships can feel real and all-consuming, giving a sense of a strong connection, but they can also lead to isolation from in-person connections. The paintings welcome the viewer into subject’s world as that “in-person” connection. However, as the subject is consumed by the online relationship, the viewer becomes excluded.
